Jan Florence Garven is an artist who specializes in mixed media. She combines paper, metal, wax, textiles and found objects to convey conceptual images. Jan received her undergraduate degree in music at the University of Illinois.

Jan has served as a board member for the 31st Street Concerts and Hope Arts Council. She is currently a member of AVAA (Austin Visual Arts Association), CIVA (Christians in the Visual Arts), The MAC (The McKinney Avenue Contemporary), and Capelli d’Angeli Foundation (scholarship recipient).

Jan and her husband Jim have raised two sons, Chad and Erik, and live in Austin, Texas.
